If you have questions, comments, thoughts or any preride or postride reports or pictures of theVR135/90 Epic Gravel Grinders. please post them here.

A bit about this event:

The 135 route is likely one of the- if not THE most difficult one day gravel grinders out there. During this ride, you will summit three distinct passes- one over 10,000 ft, one above 10,500ft, and one well above 11,000ft. Nearly 100 miles of the course is gravel, dirt, or 4×4 jeep road, with ~35 miles of highway pavement to break things up. You will climb approximately 12,000ft total, and likely be on the bike for well over 10 hours.

The VR90 is easier, but far from easy. This route follows the same route as the VR135 until around mile 40, when you say goodbye to the 135’ers and head west. You ride up and over scenic Black Mesa and proceed towards Groundhog Reservoir, before turning south and heading back to Boggy Draw for the finish. All in all you will climb around 7,000ft, and top out over 10,500ft.
