Anyone have any insight on when the 2019 Specialized Diverge lineup will be out and what to expect with the different models in the lineup?

doesn't specialized typically run on a 2-year cycle, where year 1 they introduce the 'new' version, then in year 2 they just introduce new colorways and make small changes to the builds, things like drivetrain, brakes, colorways, etc?

Yes, it typically is at least two years.  The Venge went several years without a significant change.

Thanks for the replies! I too am not expecting any type of frame change for 2019 given it was all new this year, instead more curious about what smaller changes there may be with specific models such as the Comp:

1) Will it be going to 1X?
2) Will Specialized incorporate a lockout on Future Shock?
3) New 105 disc specific shifters?

typically the model releases start to happen in June with a few models starting to get released now.  When they ship depends on how much inventory they had on hand.

I would at least wait for the updated R7000 105 groupset to show up on the Diverge Carbon Comp. RS505 shifters are a crime against humanity.

More than 2 years.  With all the tech they put into the Diverge and the Roubaix I wouldn't expect anything major for a while.  That would cost them a fortune to redesign early

Specialized was obviously able to deliver a stem-mounted Future Shock lockout/adjustment for the pros at this year’s Paris-Roubaix.

Whether they’ll deliver that to paying customers in the upcoming model year remains to be seen.

IMO 1x12 is the future for gravel, CX and MTB
I also expect disc to dominate all but the low end, and at the 105 price point I'd be surprised to see mechanical/cable.

I disagree with those who expect disc to take over road in the near future.  Friends on hydro disc road bikes love 'em, but I can lock up rim brakes and crash under all conditions.  If the rim is wet and slick, so is the pavement. Just one man's opinion...

The new Diverges are available on the Specialized Dealer (B2B) site.  Pics are up on the Specialized Diverge Facebook group:

Thanks, the FB mobile website wasn’t showing comments but their desktop website is showing them.

So it looks like the Carbon Comp Diverge got an upgrade to Ultegra R8020 hydro with a matching $600 price hike. The specs posted say the frame is BB386, with a PF30 Praxis bottom bracket, I guess to fit the Zayante crankset?

Also looks like the alloy E5 gets a proper threaded 68mm bottom bracket and R7000 brifters with mechanical disc. 🤔

You can now find the 2019 stuff on a vendor site by googling “2019 Diverge” - dig a little and you’ll find a bike shop called Erik’s with it listed

also note, "C38 wheelset" on the new Expert, along with a $1k price boost.  I'm betting that's a 38mm tall carbon "offroad" wheelset to bridge the gap between the CL50 and the SLX24 for their CX and gravel bikes.

apparently, an announcement for the new CruX is on the near horizon as well, so perhaps the official Diverge info will be forthcoming?
