Our family vacation this year is driving out to Denver sometime in Mid-June, but no dates set yet.  I have looked on this site and others to see if there are any races during that time, roughly a 50 miler if possible.  If not, then if someone could point me in a good direction for a 2-4 hr ride of gravel.  I saw the link for map of the gravel roads surrounding Denver, but still would like a better understanding or a good route.

Thanks

Jeremy,

Any of that gravel southeast of Denver is good stuff. Specific routes: AntiEpic 50, Pedal 50, and Greenland Gravel Grinder all good and easy to cut off a little for time. Just did 40 miles of the AntiEpic 50 and it was 3 hrs at an ok pace.

Also, Dr. Welby does have a dropdown on his site http://coloradogravelroads.com/

If you're into mountain biking there are some good options too.
Feel free to shoot me a message if you want more info or possibly need someone to show you around. ben@mountainbikeradio.com

Living in the southeast outskirts of Denver, I also have dozens of gravel routes saved on mapmyride and garminconnect. I agree with Ben on his suggested areas.  Let me know if you want me to help you plan some routes.

Some decent dirt road riding north and east of Boulder.  Let me know if you are interested and I can give you some ideas.

I'll be in Denver starting today until the 28th. I'll check out the rides for the SE. I'm going to be in the Cherry Creek area if there are some rides out of there. Thanks
