Hey all. New to this forum. I ride gravel in Kansas. Ottawa, Franklin County, not too far from Emporia. We lucky to have a couple rail trails that start in our town to help make nice long gravel routes. Anyways, ride on....

Welcome to the form Tomy. Sounds like your in the motherland of gravel. I'm in KC and usually need to take a short drive before I can get to the best gravel but its always worth it to lose myself in the rolling hills, fields and open planes.

Hello, also new to the sport although i have been riding on gravel and dirt roads my entire life. Never thought it would be this big of a deal. I live in Longton  which is in Elk Co approx 100 miles south east of Wichita.  just bought me a dedicated gravel bike, as my 6" travel Mtb just doesn't cut it at a competitive level

Hello, I am interested in riding the Boneshaker Series in 2016.  I live in Satanta, KS and occationally ride the farm roads. I have goat head thorns to contend with out here and so I need to protect my tires with Mr Tuffy and Slime Tubes. What kind of conditions and hazards can I expect to find on these roads? Do you guys ride with Speed/gravel tires or knobby tires?
