Looking for a 200 or 100 entry. I have family & friends that got in but I was not selected. If you know of two entries I've got a riding partner that will take the 2nd. We'll pay any transfer fees and associated costs. Good luck to all the riders that got in this year!

I am hoping to get a DK 200 entry.

In the 1970's Gary Fisher and company were inventing mountain biking in California. I was a grade schooler on a banana seat Huffy and Honda 50cc trail bike, dodging rattlesnakes on the rolling flint roads between Emporia and Osage City where I grew up, always wondering what was over the next crest.

Ever since this race began I have wanted to complete the 200 one time. So far life has got in the way. But this year I committed to finally do it. Since August I have been riding more than I have in one to two decades, and getting bikes and kit in order, so I will have a good shot at finishing.

We still have our family farm, but I wanted to be in town for race morning, so I have an Airbnb reserved. I have my support crew all ready to go. All I need is your registration!

I will cover the fee x2 and transfer costs, of course, and be forever grateful. I have an extra room in the Airbnb that I will give to anyone kind enough to help me accomplish this goal.

Please email cuinn@KansasTreeCare.com

Looking for a DK 200 entry.

I attempted the DK 200 in 2015.  I made it through the mud slog near the start only to break my derailleur hanger around mile 25.  I've been riding with a spare ever since!

I will, of course, cover entry fee and transfer costs.

Looking for a DK200 entry as part of a big year for my 40th birthday! I'm planning to race the DK200 to kick things off, but need a transfer after not getting into the lottery.

I'm willing to pay transfer fee plus extra $$. I reeeeallllllly want to race this event!

If you transfer your entry to me, I promise to smile all day, bunny hop rattle snakes and give high fives to strangers.

Thanks!!
Chris

I'm looking for a DK 100 spot.  I also did not get in last year.  Slow country internet did not allow me to register on time last year.  I'd really loooooove to get in.  The DK100 2 years ago is what initially got me into gravel biking, and I really use this as great motivation for pushing myself to the next level.  This would be extremely appreciated.  You can get ahold of me at sodenphotography7@hotmail.com.
Thank you very much!

I'm seeking entry for the 100 mile 2018 Dirty Kanza. I just moved to Kansas and currently a KU grad student. My dad was able to get into the 200 mile event, and it would be great to share the experience with him. If anyone one is interested, please contact me at matheny28@gmail.com. I'll cover the entry fees. Thank you for your consideration.

2018 DIRTY KANZA EVENT REGISTRATION TRANSFER POLICY AND PROCEDURE

Due to high demand, we are unable to accommodate everyone who wishes to participate in the Dirty Kanza gravel road bicycling challenge.  Therefore, a lottery selection process was implemented to determine who will be allowed to participate in the 2018 Dirty Kanza. That lottery selection process occurred on January 13, 2018. The event field is now full, and registration is officially closed. If you were not lucky enough to get in, all hope is not lost. We fully understand that "life happens", and when that many folks sign up for an event that many months in advance, a certain few will have situations arise that prevent them from attending. So... we have designed a process through which Dirty Kanza event entries can be transferred. Please read the following carefully...

Refund and Transfer Policy

All Dirty Kanza registration fees are non-refundable and cannot be deferred to a following year.  However, event registrations may be transferred, if done so before the deadline of April 1, 2018.  Requests for transfer received after April 1st will be denied.  No exceptions.

2018 Dirty Kanza Event Entry Transfer Procedure

  • It is the responsibility of the person currently registered for Dirty Kanza to find someone to acquire their event entry.  The good folks at ridinggravel.com will once again be hosting a discussion forum, which will serve as the place to find someone to take your spot, or to find an event entry that is being offered for transfer.

  • Event entries must remain in the original event distance. In other words, a 100-mile entry cannot be transferred to a 200-mile category. Entries may be transferred to a different category/gender within the same event distance.

  • The individual currently registered for Dirty Kanza must submit an email to dirtykanzatransfers@gmail.com requesting the transfer.  The new participant assuming the transfer MUST be cc’d on this email.

  • Dirty Kanza Promotions will then “Reply All” with further instructions to keep the transfer process moving forward.  These instructions will include a request to the new participant to send payment for the event entry to Dirty Kanza Promotions.  Once payment has been received, the transfer process will continue.

  • A check will then be issued by Dirty Kanza Promotions to the original owner of the event entry, for the original cost minus a $30 processing fee.

  • Once the transfer has been completed, both parties will receive a confirmation email from Dirty Kanza Promotions.

  • Both parties will be expected to respond to requests made by Dirty Kanza Promotions in a timely fashion.  Failure to do so will void the entire transfer process.

  • Dirty Kanza Promotions will not manage a wait list, nor will we act as “match maker” to help anyone find an entry.

  • Do not simply “give” your DK entry to someone, then have them show up for Rider Sign-In. All riders will be required to show a government-issued photo I.D. in order to obtain their event packet. If they aren’t on our roster, they won’t be allowed to ride. No exceptions.

Note: Deadline for all entry transfers and all registration changes is Sunday, April 1, 2018 at 11:59pm CST.

Questions about this procedure can be submitted to: dirtykanzatransfers@gmail.com
