Hi ,
I am a freshman in this field, and i am very happy to see so many nice things.
i wanted to ask you , if anybody has experience withe the Gr 260?
In any case , but especially with the decision of frame size.
Just asking because i am really new in this and just ordere a gr 260 and have to decide if M/L or L.
iam 5″11 and my inner leg height is 34. will use the bike mostly for bikepacking.
I hope some of you can help me with the decision and have maybe some other nice thoughts and experiences with the bike.
Hope i hear from anybody soon, happy to share my stuff as soon as possible as well.

I am 5" 11" with about a 32-32.5" inseam and all 3 of the Lynskey's I've owned have been M/L including my GR Pro that has the same geometry.  Haven't finished the build yet, but it's close enough to my previous R350.  Either would probably work for you.  I can not handle the standover of a Large frame but run a 100-110mm stem due to a longer torso.

so i see you are a lynskey fan, are there any suggestions you can make about gearing , fork ore tyres?
Are you going to use 650B?

Hi Dom,
I am going to do my first build this autumn on a GR260 size M (I am 5ft 9in). What I am planning to do is having both 650b and 700c wheelsets for gravel and road riding respectively. The 650b will have more knobby tires and the 700c will be probably GP4000s II. That is the beauty of this frame and others like it, to switch wheels depending on your riding surface and terrain.

I love my GR260. I'm 5'11 but 30 inseam and ride a Medium. The bike is great. Ive raced in standard gravel but also rode events on it where most others were on MTB. It handled it all.

I am currently in between ordering a curve fork , or the new Bombtrack. But aftermarket sale isn’t announced yet.
And I am not sure if iam going for 650 b . Would be interesting if anyone has experience with them on the Lynskey .

I'm 5"11, 32" inseam. Normally ride a 56cm, just finished my GR260, size M/L with setback Lynskey seat post and 100mm Thomson X4 stem, fits like a glove.

I'm using a Thomson X4 mtb stem, 100mm with 0 rise, though I'm considering a Thomson 90mm, 10 degree rise stem, installed upside down, because I have one here and want to experiment. Also have a straight Thomson Masterpiece seat post, which I'll try out. The bars are Salsa Cowchipper carbon, 46cm. Couldn't get the widest, 46cm version locally (Australia), so had to buy mail order, from westernbikeworks.com, in America. They're wide, with short drops (116mm), short reach (68mm), with minimal flare (24°) and drop angle (12°). Great bars, they look rad. Finished with Fizik bar gel, and 3.2cm Lizard Skins DSP bar tape. Super phat, lol.

So, I've ridden the GR260 quite a lot now, and although it's no race bike, it's an incredibly comfortable, planted ride. Hard to describe why it's so nice to ride, you just keep going and going, next thing you've been riding for two or three hours, with minimum fatigue. My first titanium bike, I'm sold, love it. 

In answer to your question, I started out with 100mm, 0 degree offset stem, but I've swapped it for a 90mm, 10 degree stem, installed upside down. I never bothered with the straight seat post, stuck with the Lynskey 25mm set back Ti post. There was no way I was gonna part with it, it's a work of art. Also loving the 46cm wide Salsa Cowchippers, super wide and comfy.   

I'm running Force 22 groupo, but I kinda wish I'd gone Force 1 now, or mixed it up, as you suggested, with a nice XTR or XX1 rear derailleur. It's not that I don't like having 22 gears, it is handy, but for the kind of open, gently undulating (flat) trails I'm doing, it's just not necessary. Also, the SRAM Yaw front derailleur's a real prick to dial-in, one minute it's flawless, the next it absolutely refuses to change up, from small to large chainring, which is hellishly annoying.

Are you guys experiencing much BB flex?  The GR 270's pretty cheap right now so I'm kind of thinking of changing frames and saving some weight from my Otso Warakin.

Also, are the rear thru axles proprietary or anything?  I commute so i use Robert Axle axles and hexlox inserts.

I have never felt any flex. My Lynskey road bike is another story. There is nothing proprietary about the axles.

I'm a lean 200ish with lopsided leg strength so I tend to flex things weirdly, but i bet with a 30mm spindle the bb shell matters less.

Any pics of the axle ormaybe measurements? Robert Axle Project makes a bunch of sizes or as long as the stock one doesnt have a lever it would work.

Actually, BB flex not noticeable, but there is flex in the rear triangle when you get up and out of the saddle. Not bad, but you can definitely feel it. I wonder if the GR270 is stiffer, as they've redesigned the rear.

Thanks, good to know! I'm gonna try to hold out longer. Maybe the 280 will have di2 holes and address th ed flex more.

The pro one just looks too alien for me.

Hi, i just saw The last Comment about The The flex. in The rear end.
You Guys really think its happening because of the The different design. I thought normally if you put flat or right angle in between or After a round part It Should be stiffer or even more stable.
It Sounds like The rear Axle or The alloy Hanger Could have something to do with It.
The Design change from 250 to 260 and to 270 also includes The missing of The post mount brakes and The Smale Connector between The Pipes.
Would be Great if you can Tell, how The flex feel i am curious Where It comes from.
Starting to Build up my gr 260 over Wintertime.
