How about a pic thread that isn't focused on gear, but instead on the experience of riding and the things we encounter along the way on all those backroads?

I'll kick it off with a few scenes from this past weekend...

From this weekends' ride, was one of the more challenging rides I've done in the last 10 years, but was it fun! IMG_3231.JPG  IMG_3232.JPG  IMG_3233.JPG

Today I found an hour on the way home from work to just explore. I found a nice but way to small park to simply be there and that's what I did and thought of this thread while there.  I stopped and talked to fisherman and tourists and it felt good to not focus on the bike instead I was finding fishing holes, swimming spots and breathing in the fresh air. The hard part was slowing down.  So here is a dash of some laid back Florida flavor.

These are great photos, especially the ones from out west. I'm in New Hampshire where it's still winter. Looking forward to posting my own pics soon.

That looks pretty nice too. Sometimes it's fun to roll with a crew, and sometimes I love just getting out alone and doing my own thing. Hope it was a good ride!

2bikelabs, looks like you are around the Waterton Canyon area. Lived right down the street for over 6 years. I saw that sign many times a week.

2bikelabs, which road is the 2nd picture? I'm trying to figure out the exact road, but can't quite place it.

The 2nd pic is on Castlewood Canyon Rd., past the park and just before Lake Gulch Rd.

Awesome!  How did she like it?  My wife has become my main riding partner now.
