I'm in the situation to choose between the 2017 Giant TCX SLR 2 and the 2017 Fuji Jarl 1.7. The purpose is 100% gravel rididing so maybe the Giant TCX would be to harsh and aggressive? Please note that it is the European version of the TCX so it's with Tiagra instead if 105, but also hydraulic Shimano brakes BR-RS405 instead of the mechanical TRP Spyre. Greateful if for help on this one!

I can't speak to the Fuji but I own a 2017 Giant TCX SLR 2. I've (well Giant) upgraded my wheels when one of the original hubs ate itself. I've also upgraded the tires and went tubeless. I got it for gravel grinding. Last year did the Dirty Kanza Half-Pint with no mechanical issues, not even a flat. I'm honestly really impressed how much I like this bike, didn't think it would be my thing since I'm more at home on a mountain bike trail. I would highly suggest it.

So I'm considering two Gravel bikes; Warbird and Giant TCX.
For same $$ I can upgrade TCX with I9 235 wheels versus Warbird stock DT Swiss (400 grams heavier). I'm torn, I'd love to go Salsa. Long distance/ultra events and training purposes, not CX.
Any advise/input is most welcome and thank you!
