My buddy and I are signed up for the training camp in April.  I'm excited yet VERY apprehensive about this ride.  I read that some finish with relative ease while others suffer greatly.  IDK.  I figure with all the riding we'll be doing during the training camp I'll should have a really good idea of just what I'm getting myself into.  I'll also have a number of weeks to "back out" IF I feel I've bitten off more than I can chew. Plus, I don't have a crew to support me and will likely have to pay the DK folks for help.  That's fine, I suppose from a logistic stand point but I won't have the emotional or physiological help from a personnal crew that I think is very important to crossing the line and completing this epic event!

Derek. I'm sure I'll see you during Training Camp. I'll be around. DK is a good day on the bike. The X factor is always the weather. Just keep turning the cranks over and over. Avg about 11-12mph overall and focus on one checkpoint at a time. Just a series of 50 mile rides with friends. Just get to that finish line if you can. The feeling is worth the effort my friend. See you in April!
