Has anyone done the Dairy Roubaix or live in the Prairie du Chien, Wi area? I'm just wondering what the gravels in the area are like. Chunky smooth etc. I didn't even realize they had any gravels in that area so curious for tire choice. Thanks

if you have ridden in Kansas, the gravel is nothing like that.  Dairy Roubaix can have some really serious stretches of
gravel otherwise it is fairly reasonable

DON'T KNOW HOW TO DO LINKS AND YES SORRY MY CAP LOCKS ARE STUCK ON MY LAPTOP SO LINKS WILL BE IN LOWER CASE

AND

LAST ONE FROM WHAT I READ SAID LOOSE GRAVEL BUT I GUESS THAT WOULD BE A CRAP SHOOT EACH YEAR DEPENDING ON WHAT KIND OF REPAIR THEY DID ON IT.

I SEE THE FIRST LINK DIDN'T COME UP. SORRY

GOOD LUCK

I know people that have done it on 28c road tires no problem and then other years you would need at least a 33c knobby. Just depends on the year and the roads.

We live virtually a couple miles from the route and ride these roads often. You’ll not have Land Run or DK Gravel but more rural roads with gravel dumped on, typically limestone, a couple times a year.
These are roads that are traveled often by milk trucks, farm equipment and folks getting to work.
This weekend we have the bonus of 1/2” of ice on top of semi-thawed roads then covered by 3-5 inches of snow.
It’s a beautiful area, tremendously hilly due to the glaciers not reaching this area..Driftless Region.
Question..ask away, I help anyway I can
