Hello. Lately during my journey to buy all round gravel bike when I was almost sure to snag a Jamis Renegade Exploit I found this bike http://www.bulls.de/pl/bikes/show/grinder-2/
Could you guys take a look on it and tell me is it good or not or at least what's not good at it or what could be better. I admit it impressed me with it's specs. It leaves way behind everything I found so far at similar price point so I'm thinking where's the catch hidden. What do you think guys overall about this particular bike (it specs and geometry). It really gave me to think between this and jamis-renegade-exploit I was almost sure I buy.
Thanks

This is aluminium vs the Renegade which is steel as at similar price point. Granted, this comes with Ultegra rather than the 105 on the Renegade, but I think the Jamis offers better value for money when you look at the cost of steel frames.

Damn you get straight to the core of my problem. I still can't decide should I go with aluminium or steel. I haven't got any experience with both so it's hard for me to say what rides better for me. Is there such a big difference in feeling of the ride between aluminum and steel? This is very hard for me to decide which one of those two to buy as they're priced almost the same. Very closely.

I'm 230lbs and prefer aluminum to steel. I appreciate the added stiffness when I really need to apply the power. Today's aluminum frames aren't nearly as harsh riding as they were.

Anyone had the opportunity to come across this bike yet?  Looking for some info, but haven't had much luck.  I like the stack/reach of the geometry - and obviously the price point versus build.  The wheels are a bit of a mystery - likely an early candidate for upgrade.

What about it makes you not so sure?  In-house wheels? Aluminum frame? Web-only sales?

After a year from this post I can tell in happy with this bike. I bought it last summer June I think. Good bike for my needs. I don't regret I bought it. There's a ton of other models on the market. I was researching for 3 or 4 months before I decided which one to buy. After a year I don't care anymore does this bike has that option or it lacks it ( for example rear thru axle). I'm fully satisfied with QR as with this bike overall. I got a shortest frame model and I think is still a bit to long for my comfort. I think I'll buy a stem 2-3 cm shorter or with wider angle. Im 171cm tall. I prefer more upward position. So far I changed only seat for more comfortable leather one. Selle anatomica or something. I forgot the name of it.
