There is a ride scheduled to take place May 14th and most Sundays from Motion Makers Bike Shop on Brevard Rd.in Asheville to Oskar Blues Brewery in Brevard. About 40 miles, 80% unpaved. Departs 8:00am and returns to the shop via the free trolley from the brewery.

While I didn't make the last one, I've ridden this route and it's a beautiful fun ride.

FB event description:

This ride for experienced cyclelists has TWO MODES:
Mode 1: Gravel Grinding up and down the forrest roads between Bent Creek and Brevard.
Mode 2: Relaxing Trolley ride, after a beer and burger, from Oskar Blues Brewery North Carolina back to Motion Makers Bicycle Shop

40 miles, 3500 ft of climbing, beautiful vista, and a well-earned beverage in the Tap Room, all before the a free ride on the Oskar Blues Trolley. Meet at Motion Makers at 7:45am, we'll roll out at 8am on a guided ride.

It's not single track, but it's not the best maintained gravel roads, so come on tires that can roll over the chunky stuff.

Here is a link to the standard route which can be modified for those that want more gravel or distance, https://ridewithgps.com/
