Looking for a steel 29er disc fork with a steerer tube at least 8" long. 80mm travel corrected.
I have had a new one on order but they're back ordered forever so I thought I'd check here.
Thanks, Craig

How would a Surly Karate Monkey fork work for you? 29er, 80mm suspension corrected, 10" steerer. If you want more mounts, the Ogre fork has canti and disc mounts, and all the braze ons for racks, fenders, and water bottles!

Thats what I've had on order and Surly has no immediate  plans to make more from what I understand.

Not cheap to get from Europe, but a Singular Swift fork could be an option.

Thanks barturtle, that's a good looking fork, there website says they're sold out too and like you mentioned shipping might be expensive.
Found two that are available but they sound kinda cheap, origin 8 scout and a Kona project2. anyone have  any knowledge/experience with these. I've never heard of these till now.

I don't have experience with the Origin8 Scout, but I have an Origin8 700CX. The disc tabs on it weren't correctly positioned, and I heard this was a problem with the full run, so I'd be unlikely to trust the Scout.

I've no personal experience with the Project 2, but I have read good things.

That's unfortunate. I have a buddy who replaced his stock Karate Monkey fork with a carbon fork. If it'll help you, I can see if he has the stock one for sale. Some other options that fit your criteria would be a Surly ECR Fork  and Soma MTB 29er fork. Best of luck!

Thanks everyone for your help on this, I'm eyeing a Kona on ebay now and may pull the trigger.

Craig,

You could also find a Trek dealer and see if they can still get the Trek Sawyer fork.  I worked at a shop until last year, and I do know there were still a number of them in stock at Trek.  Stock on those didn't change very fast.  It's G2 adjusted and checks all your other criteria.  I have two, but they're bot on Sawyers and I'm not about to give them up.  Sorry.

Good Luck!
