I got my 2019 Giant Revolt Advanced 2 this past Saturday after ordering it in August. I posted a video that shows it in detail on YouTube and Facebook. Both are under "Bike Guy Consulting."

I bought the "2" because it's the same frame/fork as the 0 and 1, and I plan on upgrading to 8000 series Ultegra Di2, new bars and new wheels. I've already answered a bunch of riders' questions about the bike since the Giant specs on their website are soooo vague. And I've already found a major snag in upgrading to Di2. Hit me up if you're wondering about any part of it.

Hi guys
I have ordered the giant revolt advance 0 and is expected to arrive in November (Melbourne). I am really excited about it. It retails for $4300 but got a deal for $3700. I am just wondering how was your experience with the new range if you are using it. I really want to know how the cxr1 wheels in terms of performance? The dfuse seat post does it work or is that another marketing gimmick. Over all if you were to upgrade something what would that be? Tyres? Seat? Etc thanks

Probably both.  The seat post definitely has "flex" but mostly in a front-to-rear orientation.  It seems to take off some of the chatter but does nothing (or nothing I can notice) for harder hits.  You can easily see the flex just pushing down on the rear of the seat.

I've ridden a Cutthroat extensively, and Salsa's vibration elimination seat stay system works way better than D-Fuse.

Salsa is not yet available in Australia. Thanks for your insight. Forgive my ignorance but i think the combination carbon wheels tubeless tyres and handle bar might soften it bit more. Again i have not ridden one so cant say much.

Just picked up a size L in the Revolt Advanced 0. It's late so no pics.

After putting about 3 ounces of Stan's in each wheel, but with no pedals, the bike weighed 19-3/4 pounds according to the scales at the shop

I've only ridden it once around the block in the dark but so far so good

Tried flexing the handlebars; definitely a few mm of downward movement, but I may still put a ShockStop stem on, which makes a nice difference on my current GT Grade (a really nice bike, but limited to 35-37mm tires)

The saddle it comes with (Contact SL neutral) feels a bit hard for gravel. They offered me a discount on something else but the Giant saddle range doesn't look so great?

The seatpost has a setback whereas I usually go for 0 setback. They say that can swap the post for one with 0 setback.

Dealer says wheels have DT Swiss hubs. I've not checked them out so closely. They are 6-bolt.

Tires look good for gravel, maybe less so for road. Will ride it this weekend and provide a further report.

I am making these changes to the bike

I have ordered the Fabric Race Shallow Saddle with titanium rails.
Got Compass Barlow Pass tyres which are more for road (fast and very comfortable)
Bryton 410E rider gps.

I don't think if i were to make any change other than this.

It's the hydraulic brake reservoir for both front and rear brakes. It is part of the Giant hydraulic brake system.

The Fabric saddles have some nice flex in the base Kamran—I have one on my road bike. I will give it a shot on the Revolt as it may be best to stick to one saddle, but it may be that I go to a more padded saddle for gravel.

Craig i have a selle smp lite 209 on my giant tcr bike which is very good. It has a little aggressive position but i find it comfortable on long rides. Fabric came highly recommend from a friend so going to give it a shot.

Did you find a way to poke a hole in giant frame for di2?

He posted a follow-up video after figuring out that it wasn't necessary.  The wire did fit - the only issue was that he couldn't get the fitting into the hole, but he didn't need to fit that.

Took the revolt for a first gentle ride (towpath Chesapeake and Ohio Canal, in DC-MD)

Still adjusting seat position etc. so no PRs!

I had very positive impressions overall, handling felt agile considering the long wheelbase.

With the 40mm tires together with the seatpost and bars the modest gravel was well cushioned. I will try some more challenging routes before deciding whether I want to put a shockstop stem on it.

First time on the RX Ultegra, but the clutch was not really tested in these conditions. Front shifting on the 48/32 was very smooth. Will need to tune the rear derailleurs before riding again as the cables seem a bit slack.
